myCicero near ATAC in the project “+Ricicli +Viaggi”

myCicero is always very focused on innovation and is in front row, to fight plastic pollution together with Atac. Rome is the first city in Italy and the second in Europe that joins this project against plastic and incentivizes public transportation in city: “+Ricicli +Viaggi” (More Recycling, More Travelling).

As an experiment, in the next 12 months all users that will bestow PET bottles to the three compactor machines installed in San Giovanni and Cipro underground station of line A and in Piramide underground station of line B, will be rewarded for their responsible attitude. Users will receive in their B+ e-wallet € 0,05 for each recycled bottle B+.
The ecobonus can be accumulated limitless and ticket price will be reduced 5 minutes after inserting bottles. Price reduction will be applied on one or more tickets (Bit, 24/48/72h and monthly ticket).

How does it work?

1) Click button “more Recycling more Travelling” or open the user profile and menu “Transport”, then select “ATAC Roma more Recycling more Travelling”
2) The bar code identifies the user. It will have to be scanned by the bottle compactor scanner
3) You can insert only PET bottles from 0,5 to 2 litres to collect your ecobonus. For each bottle you will obtain € 0,05
4) Click the bonus button to purchase tickets.

myCicero is a multiservice technological platform designed to give an answer to the increasing need of citizens and tourists to have a tool that simplifies the search for information, the purchase and use of different public transportation and parking services. In this vision, myCicero is a perfect example of the new paradigm for travelling: Mobility-as-a-Service or “MaaS”.
In fact, it makes interoperable all processes that involve the users during their trip by integrating in a single platform main aspects and functionalities, such as:
- Multimodal travel planner for a seamless travel solution in a door-to-door perspective
- Booking, purchase and payment system
- Check-in/check-out and access control
- Real-time information: free parking lots, arrivals, departures
- Tourist offer of a country, with events, points of interest and other relevant insights.

myCicero is the first MaaS case at national level in Italy and includes in a single application different services offered in a territory with a single account for the end-users.
